SPIRIT High Speed Roll Up Door

• How fast is it?
  
  How about upto 42" per second (over 1 meter per second). A typical 8' (2.44m) high door will fully open and close in about 4 seconds.

• Is it the fastest door on the market?
  No. We had to balance the benefits of a long lasting and reliable door with a practical opening speed. In our experience, doors that operate faster do not allow one to pass through significantly faster or reduce infiltration significantly more to justify the added cost, complexity and maintenance required. Our simple counterweight design eliminates costly barrel springs and pulley systems. High efficiency 3/4HP electric gear motor has a sealed and lubricated for life gear train.
• What happens when I hit the door?
  
  The bottom bar snaps out of the guide rails and stops the door. This prevents any damage to the door. A fork truck can actually drive through the door without damaging it.
• Is the door difficult to repair and do I need any special tools?
  
  There is no need for tools, no side-guide covers to open, or retentioning the curtain, or adjustments to a spring barrel as is common with other fabric roll-up doors. Anyone can easily snap the bottom bar of a SPIRIT door into the side guides, and reset the door. All within 30 seconds of the impact. There is virtually no downtime. Nothing could be simpler to getting back to being productive again.
  
• What safety features are included?
  
  We use and "electric fail-safe" reversing edge to open the door upon contact with personnel or other objects. Within the side guides are a photo-eye that detects the presence of objects within the door way. These safety feature are fail-safe which means that the door will not operate if either of these safety features is damaged or not functioning.
• How much room do I need to install a SPIRIT?
  
  As you can see from the image above, we have the tightest fabric door clearances in the industry. We require a minimum of 18" (46cms) above the door opening, 9" (23cms) on the operator side and only 7" (18cms) opposite side of the opening.
• What accessories do you offer?
  The most common if the full-width view window, allowing the fork truck driver to any obstructions on the other side of the door.
