OPEN POSITIONS:
Economist
BMIL Technologies is an international company located in Morehead City,
North Carolina specializing in the turnkey supply of refrigeration equipment
internationally with over 50 years in business. We have an opening for an
experienced, hands on economist and strategist. This is a position that will
work closely with management to develop competitive strategies to tackle
increase competition from Asian based competitors. BMIL supplies
Best-In--Class equipment from leading USA manufacturers. The person
should have a
thorough understanding of
economic and competitive concepts and principles - broad
international experience with the ability of working with diverse business
cultures, multilingual skills are required.
Job Description:
- Support the business development activities and
sound financial decision making through creation and use of economic
methods, procedures, sources and models and industry specific trends and
tracking selected global industrial markets (materials and natural
resources). Interaction with senior management, associates, customers,
suppliers, investors, and other internal and external constituencies.
Conducts research and analysis on economic data / trends as it affects
the industrial and commercial refrigeration, cold storage and controlled
humidity storage industry. Provides analysis and interpretation on
economic conditions that affects the demand and supply of the raw
materials, production process, technology advancement, and marketing of
refrigeration and cold storage products and services. Advises management
on business impacts of economic trends to the domestic and international
market for industrial and commercial refrigeration products. Develops
key price and volume assumptions for budgeting, project, strategic
planning purposes of the company. Participates in and/or lead studies on
particular strategic topics. Prepares and presents reports outlining key
business drivers and trends.
Educational requirement:
Experience:
- If MA in Economics then 3
years experience required; if BA in Economics then 5 years progressive
work experience required.
- Proactive and entrepreneurial
- Excellent work ethic and ability to work
independently with minimal supervision.
- Good team player.
- Fluency in written and
spoken English.
- One or more Asian languages required.

Field work experience is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and
Outlook; familiarity and strong PC abilities.

Relocation is not
offered at this time.

will commensurate with experience, and commission package is offered.
